Definition

DRTV combines TV reach with performance mechanisms such as clear offers, codes, URLs, or phone numbers. The goal is a direct response rather than pure image impact.

Also known as: Direct Response TV, Performance TV

When DRTV makes sense

DRTV works for offers that are easy to understand, carry enough margin, and include a clear call to action.

For digital brands, it can become an additional scaling channel when paid social or search reach efficiency limits.

Measurement

Measurement can use spot times, web traffic lifts, voucher codes, search volume, orders, and geographic or time-based comparisons.

The better the baseline and tracking setup, the clearer the contribution from TV becomes.
